ALFIE SILAS
|
"Alife has a servant's heart and an angel's voice. She will be a great blessing to anyone who experiences her ministry in song. I highly recommend her." -- Greg Laurie, pastor, Harvest Christian Fellowship and Harvest Crusades, Riverside, Calif.
With an impressive resume that reads like a who's-who in modern music, it's safe to say there aren't many people who aren't familiar with the distinctive vocal stylings of ALFIE SILAS.
Blessed with an expansive, expressive four-octave vocal range, Alfie Silas is a triple threat as singer, songwriter, and recording artist. An accomplished singer who has made appearances and recorded with the likes of Quincy Jones, Micheal Jackson, Whitney Houston, Christina Aguilera, and Barbra Streisand as a backup singer, she ministers for Jesus Christ.
The youngest of five children, Alfie was born and raised in Los Angeles, Calif. in a family that loved and appreciated music. Her teen years were filled with choir rehearsals and group vocal rehearsals which set the tone for her music today.
Along with her experience in pop music, Alfie also has film music credits which include The Haunted Mansion, No Holds Barred, Twins, And We Go Around, Children of a Lesser God, and Polly. Alfie also wrote and performed three songs in Berry Gordy's featured film, The Last Dragon. Her television resume includes appearances on The Tracy Ullman Show, Doogie Howser, M.D., The Jeffersons, Gimme a Break, and The Arsenio Hall Show as a guest vocalist. And she recorded, as a duet, one of Gospel's top songs, "My Tribute," written by Andrae Crouch. |
