As a pastor, author, youth pastor, and founding member and drummer for the award-winning band Shachah JESSE MORALES has the desire and passion to see the people in today's world -- especially youth -- take a stand for Jesus Christ and to have a true relationship with God. Beginning in March 2008, Jesse is planting a church in Yucca Valley, Calif. called Cross Generation, with the blessing and backing of Jesse's home church, The Bridge Calvary Chapel in Palm Springs. Geared toward ministering to those age 18 to 30 while reaching out to people of all ages, Cross Generation will use high-energy, modern worship combined with solid Bible teaching to present the gospel in a way that relates to today's generation. Even though Jesse was raised in a Christian home, he still made bad choices that eventually had consequences that led to trials, but through trials came victory and hope in Jesus Christ. "I've been on both sides and I've seen the power of God change me," says Jesse. "I share this with students because so many are dealing with those things. I have a favorite quote from a devotional I read: 'Conversion is a miracle of the moment; becoming like Christ is the work of a lifetime.' God forgives us in an instant and our past doesn't have to become our future." With the gift and ability to connect with today’s youth, Jesse challenges today's youth to fully rely on the Lord and not compromise and give into the pressures of the world. He's had the opportunity to speak at youth camps, conferences, concerts, outreaches, and youth rallies and has ministered throughout the United states, Latin America, and Europe. |
